Golden Avalon — Knights, Coins & Jackpots
Knights of Avalon guard the reels. Six or more Coin Symbols trigger Hold & Win respins where the coins lock and fresh ones reset the counter. Four jackpot tiers — Mini, Minor, Major, Grand — sit on the highest coin values. Free spins arrive on scatter combos with expanding Wilds chaining across reels.
Hold & Win Respins, Jackpots & Expanding Wilds
Six or more golden Coin Symbols anywhere on the 5×3 grid lock the start of Hold & Win. Coins freeze where they land, you get three respins, and any new coin resets that respin counter back to three. Each coin shows its own value — anywhere from 1x to 500x stake — plus a chance of carrying a Mini, Minor, Major, or Grand jackpot tag. Fill all 15 positions and the Grand pays out alongside every coin value already on the board.
Free Spins arrive on a separate path. Three scatters trigger 10 Avalon spins, and during the feature the coin appearance rate roughly doubles. Hold & Win triggers inside Free Spins are far more common than in the base game, which is where the 5,000x cap actually becomes reachable. Excalibur Wilds also expand to cover their full reel during the feature, helping pad the run-up before the next coin trigger.
The expanding Wild itself is the second route to wins outside Hold & Win. A wild on reel 3 can stretch into a vertical bar that completes paylines across all five reels at once. That gives the base game some teeth between coin triggers — not every dry spell has to wait for six coins to land at the same time. Volatility sits at medium-high, so swings are real but the four-jackpot ladder gives you visible mid-tier targets along the way.

Bonus Mechanics Explained
6 mechanics drive the 5,000x max win. Here's exactly how each one works.
Hold & Win Coin Respins
How to Trigger
Land 6 or more golden Coin Symbols anywhere on the 5×3 grid in a single base spin.
What Happens
Every coin locks where it landed. You get 3 respins. Each new coin that drops also locks and resets the counter back to 3. Each coin carries its own value (1x-500x stake) and a small chance of a jackpot tag. The respin phase only ends when three respins pass with no new coins landing — or when all 15 reel positions are filled.
Multipliers
Coin values range 1x-500x stake. Filling the full 15-slot board pays the Grand Jackpot on top of every locked coin value already on display.
Odds
Trigger rate: ~1 in 220 base spins. Average finish board: 8-10 filled positions. Full 15-coin fill: ~1 in 12,000 triggered features.
Variants
Inside Avalon Free Spins, the trigger requirement stays at 6+ coins but the appearance rate of coin symbols roughly doubles, so retriggers are common.
Strategy
A trigger spin with 8-9 coins already on screen leaves you only 6-7 empty positions to fill, which is when realistic Major or Grand outcomes happen. A trigger with the bare minimum 6 coins almost always finishes as a Mini or short respin run.
| Trigger | 6+ Coin Symbols |
| Respins | 3 (resets on new coin) |
| Coin Value Range | 1x – 500x |
| Trigger Rate | ~1 in 220 spins |
| Full Fill Odds | ~1 in 12,000 features |
Mini / Minor / Major / Grand Jackpots
How to Trigger
Coins landing during Hold & Win can carry one of four jackpot tags. Tags are visible the moment the coin lands.
What Happens
Mini and Minor pay fixed values added on top of locked coin values. Major requires multiple jackpot-tagged coins to combine during the same respin run. Grand only pays when every one of the 15 reel positions is filled by the end of the respins, so it doubles as the 5,000x max-win cap.
Multipliers
Mini ~10x stake, Minor ~25x stake, Major ~250x stake, Grand 5,000x stake. Individual coin values still stack on top of all four tiers.
Odds
Mini: ~1 in 14 triggered features. Minor: ~1 in 40. Major: ~1 in 600. Grand: ~1 in 12,000 triggered features.
Variants
No bonus-buy upgrade for jackpots — they only land through Hold & Win, whether from a base trigger or a Free Spins trigger.
Strategy
Treat Mini and Minor as the realistic outcome ladder. Major is a session-defining hit. Grand is once-in-a-lifetime territory and requires near-perfect coin coverage during respins.
| Mini | ~10x stake |
| Minor | ~25x stake |
| Major | ~250x stake |
| Grand | 5,000x (max win) |
| Path to Grand | Full 15-position board |
Avalon Free Spins
How to Trigger
Land 3 scatter symbols on the same base spin to award 10 Avalon Free Spins.
What Happens
During the 10-spin run the coin appearance rate roughly doubles, which makes a Hold & Win retrigger inside Free Spins genuinely realistic rather than rare. Excalibur Wilds also pull double duty — when they expand to cover a full reel they carry a 2x multiplier on any win they complete.
Multipliers
Expanding Wilds carry a 2x multiplier inside the feature. Hold & Win payouts triggered during Free Spins are unmodified — the doubled coin rate is the value, not extra multipliers on the coins themselves.
Odds
Free Spins trigger: ~1 in 290 base spins. Hold & Win retrigger inside the feature: ~1 in 120 free spins. Free Spins retrigger: not supported (no scatter retrigger).
Variants
No tier system — every trigger gives the same 10 spins with the same boosted coin rate.
Strategy
The single biggest reason Free Spins matter: coin density. A Hold & Win that triggers inside Free Spins is statistically more likely to finish with 11-13 locked coins, putting the Major and (rarely) Grand within reach.
| Trigger | 3 Scatters |
| Spins Awarded | 10 |
| Coin Rate | ~2x base |
| Wild Multiplier | 2x on expand |
| Retrigger | No FS retrigger; HW retrigger ~1/120 |
Expanding Excalibur Wilds
How to Trigger
Excalibur Wild symbol lands on any reel and contributes to at least one winning payline.
What Happens
A contributing Wild expands vertically to cover all 3 positions on that reel. From reel 3 the expansion can complete payline wins across all five reels at once. The Wild substitutes for every regular paying symbol and is the main reason base spins between coin triggers can still pay solid line wins.
Multipliers
No multiplier in the base game — the value comes from completing extra paylines. Inside Free Spins, an expanded Wild applies a flat 2x multiplier to wins it completes.
Odds
Wild appearance: ~1 in 8 base spins. Wild on reel 3 specifically (highest payline-completion value): ~1 in 25 spins.
Variants
Same expanding behaviour in base and Free Spins; only the 2x multiplier is exclusive to the feature.
Strategy
Wilds are the bridge between coin triggers. Without them the base game would feel mostly empty during the long stretches between Hold & Win activations. A reel-3 Wild on a spin with stacked premiums on reels 1 and 5 is one of the better non-bonus payouts you can hit.
| Behaviour | Expand to full reel |
| Wild Rate | ~1 in 8 spins |
| Reel 3 Wild | ~1 in 25 spins |
| FS Multiplier | 2x |
| Substitutes | All except scatter / coin |
